We feel that
HØJER by its long tradition of using an extremely densely woven
rib design has set a fashion for the other textile flooring's
way of serving their purpose. We take this one step further by
introducing HØJER Care that offers a whole new dimension to the
cleanability of textile flooring. |

| The purpose has been
to offer a HØJER carpet for environments where the textile
flooring's properties, like good ergonomics and acoustics, have been
desirable, but the ordinary textile fibre has not withstood the
cleaning. Examples of the environments are: nursing homes, gyms,
spas and training centres. These environments periodically demand a
bacterial cleaning that calls for stronger cleaning agents (e.g.
chlorine based products). |

Thanks to HØJER Care this possibility is created. HØJER Care is
produced with completely new yarn from polyamide (synthetic)
whose properties have been developed to withstand the cleaning
agents that are needed when cleaning with a disinfecting purpose
is needed. The yarn can take extremely much machine cleaning (using
a so called extraction method) and the back of the carpet is
water proof. |

We see a great potential for the product. In nursing homes a
non-slip floor with good ergonomics is offered and at the same time
the high demands on cleaning can be complied with. Even though the
frequent PVC and linoleum floors have easily cleaned surfaces, they
also have slippery and hard surface layers. This will involve risks
for people falling and hurting themselves which is a problem within
geriatric care.
In different kinds of training centres a lot noise and sweat is
created. It is of great importance to create a pleasant acoustic
environment. HØJER Care offers an interesting solution for these
places.
Initially HØJER Care will be manufactured in grey shades, but
shortly an expanded collection will be presented. There is, of
course, a possibility to put a special order for personally chosen
shades if the quantity is rather large. The carpet is manufactured
with the width 4 metres.
